FAQs
My basement and/or yard is flooding with water after rain. Why is this happening?
Improper drainage, foundation cracks, and other structural issues can lead to flooded yards and dampened basements. These can easily lead to various structural problems such as mould, mildew, infestation and corrosion and must be treated immediately.
What is a drain tile?
Drain tile is a piping system that diverts water away from your home. A faulty drain tile can lead to your basement being wet or flooded, and can even cause structural damage.
What is GAF’s “Smart Choice® Protection Period”?
The Smart Choice® Protection Period is a part of GAF’s warranties that protects you against material defects during the early years of your brand-new roof. Any defects on covered components during this period will cover you for 100% of the replacement material costs with reasonable labour costs to install them.
What is your service region?
Our roofing company Vancouver contractors are currently available in the cities of North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Vancouver, Burnaby, and Coquitlam.
Are there any manufacturers who will cover for the contractor’s workmanship?
The main problem of the workmanship warranty is that it is completely nullified when the contractor goes out of business. In recent years, GAF introduced the Golden Pledge ® Ltd. Warranty to appease this problem, protecting the consumer from problems whether or not the contractor is in business. This protects you up to 20 years from initial installation and is exclusive to GAF Master Elite contractors.
What exactly does the full coverage include?
All of our quality roofing products are warranted for material defects. Shingles in particular are warranted for 20, 30, 40 years or more. As the duration of warranties vary among products, we highly recommend that you check the exact length of coverage with the manufacturer.
Why is it important to get our roof warranted?
Getting a brand new roof is a very big investment for your home, typically costing you thousands of dollars. By having your roof fully warranted, you are essentially eliminating surprise costs that can severely put a dent on your finances.
What are the chances that my roof will have a problem after installation?
Thanks to our state-of-the-art manufacturing process, the odds of failure of a new roof is only about 1 in 1000. Even though the chances are infinitesimal, we still highly recommend getting your roof fully warranted because in the small chance of roofing failure, repairs could cost as much as the initial installation.
